Yes, however UAE nationals will not be included in the employer's emiratisation quotas if they are paid below the montly criteria (5,000 dhs for post secondary school certificate holders, 4,000 dhs for secondary school certificate holders and 3,000 dhs for those below secondary school education).Â
It should be borne in mind that priority should be given to UAE nationals in employment in view of the UAE's aim to ensure that UAE nationals are employed and capable of doing high level jobs. Therefore, if a UAE national has the necessary qualifications and skills for a high level job then they should be given priority over a non-national with the equivalent qualifications and skills.
